From the band's 3rd appearance on "Shin...". This is interesting, as this performance is a combination of pre-recorded tapes, and live playing & singing.

Note how David Crosby is NOT singing during the unison parts on the chorus like he usually does; this was to avoid the "Overkill" of vocals, as his vocal was already playing on the tape!!

Also, listen for Chris Hillman's mistake on the Bass at the "End" of the 12 string solo; this is surely due to the fact that he is anticipating the rest of the solo, which was omitted for Shindig's very strict time constraints.

On the Sullivan show, it was the arpeggiated outro that was chopped for time.

Interesting bit of trivia; host Jimmy O'Neal's introduction is NOT from this performance, but rather The Byrds 1st appearance on the show.

This is from a Shindig "Compilation", which has alot of mish-mashed performances thrown together from different shows.

I love Gene's "Hippy boots". :-)

On this day in 1966 {February 5th} the Byrds performed "Turn, Turn, Turn" on the NBC-TV program 'Hollywood A Go-Go'... On the same show they also performed "It Won't Be Wrong"... Exactly one week later on February 12th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #63 and spent 5 weeks on the Top 100... R.I.P. Jimmy O'Neill {Shindig's host, 1940 - 2012} {See below post}...
