Such a beautiful song. The Byrds in perfect harmony. There is no other.

While the tracks in "On the beach" were mostly cut in just one live take, "Reunion" was lovingly produced. It's hard to decide which version is better: Neil's original tune is raw, with some missing notes here and there, and out of tune vocals. The Byrds' version is polished and clear. To me, both versions are different sides of the same coin.

STUPENDA CANZONE CHE SOLO I BYRDS NELLA LORO FORMAZIONE ORIGINALE POTEVANO INTERPRETARE IN QUESTO FANTASTICO MODO.

Just found this album ( vinyl) yesterday at a thrift shop. I forgot about their "reunion" album. Actually a friend bought it for me when we were there at the shop and it made my day. I really mustve forgotten or maybe I just didnt know...? I have no idea how this one slipped by me over the years. But its so great to hear Gene Clark tunes on the record and this song here is absolutely lovely! All the guys were excellent here. Thank you for posting and peace~"Jen"

never realized that the Byrds covered this. A heavenly song, a heavenly version....when I finally leave the spaceship we call Earth and depart for whatever awaits, I hope my friends and loved ones will play this song and be happy that we live in a world where so much beauty exists.

My song of the day is an under appreciated cover of Neil Young's "See the Sky About to Rain" from the ill-fated 1973 Byrds "reunion" album. The album has some high points and this is one of them, featuring the great Gene Clark. Great guitar work and harmony vocals from McGuinn, Crosby and Gene Clark, especially.

Gene Clark remains one of the 60s most underrated singers.

Heavenly music! All credits to Neil for composition, but Gene's voice is unsurpassed.
