These guys were incredibly talented and their live shows were some of the best of the early 80s period. Why they didn't get as big as the Stray Cats, B-52s, or Huey Lewis and The News back then is probably due to Arista not really knowing how to properly market a largely all-black band that used straight ahead rock & roll as their musical foundation (probably the main reason why they were only given a 2-album deal from them, heh). At least they got some commercial recognition when they were included on the 48 Hours soundtrack as well as a guest appearance in the film.
