On April 8, 1967 the Buckinghams had the number 6 pop hit in the nation with this song. I was 19 years old, and the war in Vietnam was heating up. I received my draft notification in July but decided to join the Army, because I didn't want to go to Vietnam, little did I know that I would be in Vietnam in 1968. I'm glad I went overseas. I met the girl I would marry in 1978 from Thailand.
