The Brothers Johnson - The Real Thing Live 1981 video free download
Here is The Brothers Johnson doing their hit single from the "Winners" LP. Winners was a record that for the life of me I can't understand why it wasn't a success. It is equal to anything they produced from Quincy Jones. I think the lack of name association killed them, but they still churned out some of the greatest, sophisticated funk out there and Louis is simply the greatest bass player of all time.

Are you Kidding..., White Folks in those days were not into R&B. They called it "Jungle Music". There were a lot of Great Rock Groups that they would follow. There were only a select few White folks as R&B followers. Today I believe that would not be the case. But in the Hood........, we loved the 'Brotha's'!!! This was shot at the A&M sound stage in June of 1978 for a charity event that I believe was produced by Quinncy Jones. I had just finished a tour of the US with Ray Parker Jr. and Raydio. The Bros Jos performed and were just fucking awesome! I had never seen them before. I would love a piece of that show if anyone out there has the whole thing. It was a very memerable day.
