the Breeders where as good as any band in the 90s no better no worse...but the Pixies were a band above the rest. they would play two songs which sounded similar...and then NEVER play any thing like those two songs ever again. then they would play two more songs which sounded similar. and NEVER play any other song like those two songs. the culmination was a 40 song greatest hit album which sounded like 20 distinct bands playing two songs each.
