Get grungy. Sticks on the skins cracks me up. But Kim with the two mics is badass I think.

I cannot agree anymore. Now its all in your face and on the Net. It sucks. It only takes seconds or minutes to get an album now. There is no challenge anymore. No magic in it.

Even in the mid-90's MTV would often play videos. Late night, and they had a prime time slot also, for a while, from 8pm - 10pm. VH1, which I used to watch somewhat more, played videos in the afternoon in the later 1990's; also late night. MTV tried to do more avant-garde stuff. I miss this all this. But music was better back then, too. Pop music began to fall apart in 1999 or so, though there has been some very excellent work since then: Evanescence, Outkast, and of course, the BEP's.

@bassplayeroceanside I always remember the times when I went into shops and bought classic albums - each and every one. Buying an album was an event.

I remember buying Last Splash from the Breeders and Ride the Lightning from Metallica on cassette on the same trip to the music store.

Cool. Total early 90's nostalgia. I wonder if kids even know that MTV used to have music?
