Ich beende den Abend mit dem Song "Cannonball" von der Band "The Breeders" rund um Kim Deal, der Ex-Bassistin der "Pixies".Viel Spaß damit und gute Nacht:

Out of all the playboy icons you mentioned, Donna D'errico is the only one who isn't even known and not even mentioned anywhere in media anymore. All the other women are obvious household names and everywhere in media especially Anna Nicole who still lives on with and without her daughter. I do remember Donna D'errico from years ago, I just didn't know she used to be famous. Kind of reminds me of Mamie Van Doren and Meaghan Jette Martin in the fact that they almost became famous.

I think about voluptuous women a lot. I think about marrying Carmen Electra sometimes even though she is 20 years older than me. I don't who Donna is. Donna who?

almost forgot Soundgarden; many Playboy bunnies became icons: Pam, Carmen, Jenny, Donna, Anna Nicole: all voluptuous; mandela in south africa, the soviet union gone, seemed at the time anything is possible (at least in "western" societies)

Point Break, glorious economy, low fuel prices, Ace of Base, just great music and many other things. For me the 2000-2005 period was still pretty awesome, 2006 to 2008 was decent. Anything after that, I think it would be fair to call the Justin Bieber era of entertainment.

I believe this song is about Frank Black aka Charles Thompson. This album was written right after the breakup of the Pixies. The lyrics are actually very clear when you put Frank Black into the picture. First verse: She's talking about the Pixies here. They were on the brink of becoming very famous (sitting in a wishing well), but then everything imploded (blown to hell crash) within the band. But Kim will not give up her dreams of being a famous musician, (I'm the last splash).

To many, the early ’90s encapsulate a golden age of untrammeled creativity. It was a time when artists of every stripe were united by a sense of shared community. Now everything is so fractured. There is no center anymore. The big hair bands of the 80s were thankfully over, and meaningful lyrics were in vogue. No Justin Beaver of Lady Idiot, but Married...with Children, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam...

I was born in '92. I hate that I missed out on much of a great decade. I don't even use current technology today and I'm mostly using stuff from back then. Also, people seem more fucking rude today without speaking a word and there are so many problems with the country and world today. Please tell me how great things were back then.
