Gentle Giant. Amazing Prog RockTrack five off Octopus (1972) - The Boys in the BandOne of their best songs from one of their best albums, although the latter statement doesn't say much. They released six in a row studio album masterpieces starting from Acquiring the Taste.

Zappa said these were his favorite. I think they do his (Z) style better than he!

I remember seeing them at the ABC cinema in Hull in 1972 when they did this number and Kerry Minnear did his walk across the stage holding his fist up. There was Family on as the Maine Band a great night and cost £6 Those were the days eh! All sadly gone. I suppose I born in the good days

I'll agree that age should be irrelevant, but can you really defend modern popular music as a whole? I'm not saying it's all bad, but the standards do seem to be getting lower overall.

Who could play this stuff today? Thank God no-one would want to!

And yesterday's music was better for the most part? I mean c'mon, back in the 70s what you heard on the radio was shitty disco music and crappy bubblegum pop bands. You gotta know where to look to find good music these days, that doesn't mean it isn't there

Way ahead of its time. Who could play this stuff today? Pre 80's rock music took you somewhere. Now it's just jiggy your ass to a drum machine to a tune that goes nowhere.

unoriginal: it's just a different genre that's regarded as popular so you decided that it all sounds generic. You can say the same thing for prog, that it's unoriginal compared to all the other prog. boring: subjective not a fact stupid :subjective not a fact useless: who are you to determen a music's artistic value from an objective point. talentless shit: artistic values > talent. get slalalain bromigo
