The Black Knights were a Liverpool band and they appeared in and performed in the 60`s film Ferry Cross The Mersey. They were given a recording deal as a result and released their version of I Gotta Woman in January 1965. The single failed to chart and they broke up shortly afterwards.

I remember seeing the movie "Ferry Cross The Mersey" & my older brother having the soundtrack album back in 1965. I never have forgotten this obscure song "I Gotta Woman" since first hearing it in the movie. Thank you for posting this!!!14 years ago
