yo dude chill man he wasn't hating on anyone he just made a weird comparison to two awesome bands. Don't just put down a music fan like that he listens to the keys and the strange boys!! Maybe ask him why he thinks that and explain that it isn't and you think their sounds are pretty different. I hate when people do this to other people, makes them feel like shit...
