Today, I present to you all: Penance, The Cellar theme from The Binding of Isaac, with Jeff, also known as TheLonelySoundboard. Definitely go check out his channel if you've enjoyed our cover! http://youtube.com/TheLonelySoundboard

Our rendition of Penance will be one of the tracks on Operation 1-UP, a charity album for John Means' kidney transplant. The album is planned to be available in mid February, and if you want to know more about this, then click on the following link! http://youtu.be/ubOL7PCRfKQ

Story time! (aka have fun reading)

This collaboration was actually planned about a year ago, as we had a plethora of ideas going into this. But our lives became busy, and so I started pushing the collaboration onto the back-burner. Honestly, I'm really glad that Evan (also known as ThunderScott6267, who has been organizing this charity album) asked me and Jeff to pick up where we had left off because the results of our cover were just quite spectacular in the end :3

Fun fact (aka more story time, more reading yay): when I first bought The Binding of Isaac, I also bought the DLC (Wrath of the Lamb) pack because my friend MaesterTed insisted on it, and so he watched me play via screenshare on Skype. The very first floor I played on was The Cellar... and I got demolished within the first couple of rooms. I remember initially hating the game because I was just so god awful at it, yet I remember commenting on how good the music was to him before I died in the game, haha.

But that was many years ago. Here I am with hundreds of hours invested in the original and Rebirth (each) and just inches away from Platinum God on both ; w ;

Anyway, so I'm uploading this right before going back to exploring the depths of MAGFest, so I will go back to my weekend of paradise now. Thanks for watching and listening!

This is a great cover. I love just how full the sound is in this rendition. I'd be interested in knowing how many separate tracks were recorded by each of you to complete this cover, but that's just idle curiosity into the technical details. Regardless of how it was put together, it sounds fantastic, and I'm looking forward to more great music from both of you!
