"This version of Paul's classic is starkly different from the better known Eddie & the Showmen version. It relies on the delicate interplay between the two guitars, where as the "hit" version relies on Eddie's pure power. This approach is totally different, almost like a different song. This is very infectious. Chas Stuart plays the sax reed to simulate the police siren"

Yeah dude. Search for them on PlayList dot com and listen to "Intruder". You will be amazed at their awesomeness. I believe Dick Dale dubbed the guitarist as the "Prince of the Surf Guitar".

@no1reallycaresabout2 Japan has some good surf rock bands of its own like Yuzo Kayama & Launchers and Takeshi Terauchi & Blue Jeans

@nomadnestor57 Surf lives on in Japan. It really took off there. The Ventures tour there at least once every year there since they're so popular there.

Unbelievably good. Paul Johnson is really a guitar legend/hero/guru. People need to realize that PJ is the founder of the guitar sound we all love. We'd all be thinking Solid State was fine without him.
