Oh, clap your hands, clap your hands

Oh, clap your hands if you can

You've got the rhythm in your feet

Now, clap your hands to get the beat

Clap your hands, clap your hands

You've danced the Bop and done

the Stroll

The Conga-rock is getting old

Now, clap your hands right through

the dance

The beat will put you in a trance

Clap your hands, clap your hands

Now, gather 'round and listen close

This is the dance that is the most

Oh, face to face you gotta stand

To get the big beat from the band

Clap your hands, clap your hands

You've got the beat, you're in the groove

Now, grab your chick and start to move

This isn't just-a rockin' roll

This is a dance for young and old

Clap your hands, clap your hands

Don't go away

Let's get together once again

This is the way to make a friend

Oh, if you're ever feeling blue

This is advice I give to you

Clap your hands, clap your hands

What is very interesting with this track is: This is an undubbed hands clapping! I will create a stereo synch mix with this track along with the overdubbed hands clapping.

Boy am I glad Bruce C did not follow their style, i personally respect him but blah for his music, this song came out in 1960 take it for what it is and its era. For that I rate it high Canadian written produced and recorded and marketed (A First for any Cdn record)

The first band Bruce Cockburn saw live, according to his memoirs. Glad he didn't follow their style

I have always loved the Beau Marks but..there is one mystery to me: It is hard to get info about "who sang what". Who had the vocals on "Moonlight Party"/"Rockin' Blues" and on "Clap Your Hands"/"Daddy Said?" I do know that mainly Ray Hutchinson and Joey Frechette had the vocal solos. My guess is that Joey sang on the first two and Ray on the other two, but...this is only my guest...
