"She Said She Said" is a song by the Beatles released on their 1966 album "Revolver". It was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon-McCartney.

Lyrics:

She said "I know what it's like to be dead.

I know what it is to be sad"

And she's making me feel like I've never been born.

I said "Who put all those things in your head?

Things that make me feel that I'm mad

And you're making me feel like I've never been born."

She said "you don't understand what I said"

I said "No, no, no, you're wrong"

When I was a boy everything was right

Everything was right

I said "Even though you know what you know

I know that I'm ready to leave

'Cause you're making me feel like I've never been born."

She said "you don't understand what I said"

I said "No, no, no, you're wrong"

When I was a boy everything was right

Everything was right

I said "Even though you know what you know

I know that I'm ready to leave

'Cause you're making me feel like I've never been born."

She said , she said "I know what it's like to be dead"

("I know what it's like to be dead")

I know what it is to be sad...

Peter Fonda and John Lennon were at a party. They were both on acid at the time. Peter came up to John and kept repeating the same statement."I know what it's like to be dead" This bummed John out and he tried to avoid Peter after he made that statement repeatedly at the party. He changed he said to she said for the song.

The Beatles, clutch. Per John...Rubber Soul was the "pot" album. Revolver was the "acid" album. Ramped up rock music into the stratosphere.

The reason everything was right as a child is because your mind was not as developed, now it is constantly distracting you from Life with all its thought's, feelings, worries, etc. *You can change this and make everything right again. You just have to learn **The Truth about Life**.* Google search for "The Truth Contest" and read their top entry, "The Present".

I thought I knew EVERYTHING about the Beatles. But-I have just learnt this has no PAUL McCartney on it!! George played the bass and did the backing with John. Maybe I'm amazed....

My favourite Beatles song... by the way, great (and very different soundwise) cover by Lonestar in 1976 (on their debut album). Great stuff anyway :-)
