I'm Talking About You

They ripped this bass line off to use on I Saw Her Standing There. Paul admitted many years later but it's pretty obvious,

Honestly, does it really matter, in 2013, who played the goddamn drums on this track, people?

God Lord this band fucking rocks. Had this band showed up to my frat house in 1962 and played like that, we would have burnt the entire row down.

Not according to mark Lewisohn. Ringo was a full Beatles in every sense from August 1962.

Cont..... This was just a simple business decision made as at the time none of them really knew how long their success and fame would last. In those yrs Pop stars came n went as fast as anything so they had to take advantage and make as much money as they could quickly.

He was "on probation" not in the sense that if they didn't like his drumming he was out. What I meant is that "legally and financially" he wasn't part of The Beatles company/legal entity until later in 63'. He didn't share in their recording royalties at the time & was paid a "wage". The others would've shared the profits 3 ways.....Ringo was not part of this deal initially though later on he definitely was. Cont.......

Ringo was never 'on probation', you've been reading the wrong books. Mark Lewisohn's 'Tune In' is the only factual account.
