Probably one of the best tracks ever produced by The Beat. Recorded from the original 12" Vinyl on my trusty old Amiga 1200 computer.

Even though this is my favourite Beat track of all time and have been listening to it for years I never knew there was a video for it... Now I'll need to scour the internet to find this video. You know until you mentioned it I never really gave much thought as to who the kids were singing in the chorus, now I know... :-)

@jubjub2112 Actually the Amiga is still going strong and new (younger people) still discovering this amazing machine... :-) The A1200 has been my main (only) computer for the past 26 years and always will be, could never buy into PC, Windows etc... and the corporate rip off that it all is... ;-) With the most elegant, effiecient and user friendly OS ever designed there is nothing that can touch it, especially these days... :-)

Dear God! How many here are even old enough to REMEMBER the Amiga 1200?!?!? Total flash-back for me!

@darkbinder99 Sorry your comment doesn't make much sense !!! The Beat were always known as "The Beat" from the day they formed. It was only for the American market that they had to change it to "The English Beat". But from the day they were formed right up to now when they still play reunion concerts they are quite plain and simply called "The Beat"... ;-)

there was an american band with same name thus the change to just simply the beat

This song makes me sooooooooo fucking happy. One of the top five pop groups of the 80s.

@FreonFire That's Paul Collins and the Beat. Good band, but these guys here were truly fantastic-- and yes, they were from Birmingham, cowfluff8. This is a different version than the one found on the album (Special Beat Service). Both great.

@MadFranko008 Yeah, I am from the US and I never knew them as just "The Beat" until I had been listening to them for like 15 years...
