belew just blew the walls out of the limits of music at that time. It was so rare that someone had the impact that he did.

The bears were in Springfield, Il. in 87, they were incredible, and they did some king crimson. It sounded more like crimson than the real crimson with belew, that i saw twice.

This was extracted from my film THE BEARS: OUT OF HIBERNATION! The reason why it's so good is that it was made by professional filmmakers who were also fans of The Bears, and therefore had a better feel for editing the music.

Thanks 1952czar for sharing your Bears experiences. I consider myself QUITE lucky to live in the same realm as the mighty psychodots (Bears minus Belew), who still do a few shows a year. Very much looking forward to the Dayton show in May!

@lumpytwangage " I can't detail....." Fair enough, the Superboy, and Figure it Out vids are fantastic. I do have the Club Cafe DVD. I've been a Bears fan since the 80's when I saw them tour the first album, at the Bottom Line here in NY. I don't think I've ever missed a Bears stop in NY. I last saw them on the 2002 tour at the Mercury Lounge NYC. The Bears, always great music and great fun. However sporadic I hope they keep returning. They are a great band.
