Mike Love gets a lot of criticism from people i notice but remember the Beatles themselves endorsed him, brian and carl wilson had a meeting with john lennon and paul mcartney to decide mikes future in the band and John Lennon replied, " all you need is LOVE, love is all you need " as in Mike Love is all you need. It doesnt get any better than that and on they went. Not to mentioned mike love gave paul mcartney advice on his song back in the ussr for the white album, he gave an idea for some of the lyrics.

Lol 3:15 - Ever the rebel, oblivious to "The Man" trying to lay his "Face your microphones" trip on him, we see the loose cannon side of Al Jardine rarely captured on film but alive and well in lore. Clearly, with Dennis gone, Alan takes the role of the badboy of the group to heights never before imagined. "A man waiting on a bus" no more. These days the only thing he waits for is facing the microphone when he damn well pleases. Rock on, Alan!

Anyone think Mike Love when singing sounds like Glenn Frey from the Eagles or is that just me? :P

At the height of beatle-mania during the mid 1960's the beach boys were the only American group to stand toe to toe with the beatles and had a #1 song with help me,rhonda,in 1965 and I get around in 1964.both #1 songs..
