Amazing how the Beach Boys were still amazing in the 90s

I am a trick skier and I would like to say hi to the beach boys as a chimney sweep. I catch waves on my hill.

I agree, and feel he gets way to much flack from Brian Wilson freaks. This album isn't that bad at all and this song is kinda a great cruising song.

They still might have another one after That's Why God Made The Radio

Good song in my opinion, probably the best on a poor album.

I'm glad someones standing up for them! Mike Love especially gets panned a lot and this album has not had the best of press! I like the stuff they did in this period!

That's a good point, late 80s/early 90s had a weird mix of regular 80s production, "toned down" 80s, and some proto-90s, best example I can think of for 90s in the 80s was Edie Brickell's "What I Am", which was briefly popular in 88, then largely ignored, then became "cool" again in 93. I guess it's the same as how disco was still around in 80 yet new wave began in 78 but soft 70s pop died after 77. But some stuff seems to take awhile to catch on (like grunge not catching on until 92).

I agree with your larger point. But Nevermind came out in 1991. And most classical rock acts started abandoning 80's production in the late 80's. Albums like Freedom by Neil Young, Steel Wheels by the Rolling Stones and Oh Mercy by Bob Dylan were much more organic compared to what those same acts had been releasing in the mid 80's (check out Landing on Water by NY or Empire Burlesque by BD for good examples!). As such, this album sounded massively dated from the day it came out.
