For music fans raised on the harmonies and melodies that defined a generation, THE BEACH BOYS' 50th Anniversary was celebrated with an album featuring all new material and a special 75 date world tour. THE BEACH BOYS played to sold out crowds garnering rave reviews at every stop— from the Hollywood Bowl to its conclusion at London's Wembley Arena with an epic 55 song set. The excitement of THE BEACH BOYS 2012 tour lives forever on DVD and Blu-Ray: THE BEACH BOYS: LIVE IN CONCERT -- 50th ANNIVERSARY TOUR.

Due out November 20th on BLASTMUSIC, THE BEACH BOYS: LIVE IN CONCERT -- 50th ANNIVERSARY TOUR captures one of America's most beloved and chart-topping band's electrifying performances of 21 songs, including classics, album cuts and new songs, all of which highlight THE BEACH BOYS' enduring impact on pop culture. For fans of all ages, this is the concert of a lifetime.

The new DVD comes on the heels of remarkably productive year for THE BEACH BOYS which saw the release of their first new album in sixteen years, THAT'S WHY GOD MADE THE RADIO (Capitol / Brother Records), and THE BEACH BOYS: DOIN' IT AGAIN which features live performances, behind-the-scenes exclusives from the 2012 recording sessions, as well as never-before-seen footage from the 1966 'Good Vibrations' recording sessions, and moving tributes to founding members Carl and Dennis Wilson.

Said Marc Bennett, Co-Director of The Beach Boys 50- Live in Concert: "To document this once-in-a-lifetime moment in music history as The Beach Boys embarked on their 50th year anniversary world tour was an experience I still have not come down from. This show is a solidification of their legacy and a tribute to creative endurance and artistic achievement that crosses all cultural and geographical boundaries. In spite of the obstacles they may have encountered over the years, they have reached this 50th year milestone as few bands have ever done, or even imagined. What they leave behind, as captured in this performance, is a body of work that is indelibly etched in music history and popular culture on a global level."

"IT was truly an honor to be allowed to capture this historic performance. The song selection allows fans both new and old a chance to fully appreciate the span and depth of the Beach Boys catalogue. This DVD includes performances from their hits in the early 60's to selections from their latest Top 3 Album. To be able to film all five surviving members of this historic band , together one more time.....was certainly a dream come true........" Joe Thomas, Co-Director of The Beach Boys 50- Live in Concert

"The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary tour meant so much to me personally; performing with the guys again was an absolute thrill. I'm so glad we captured it on film so that everyone, whether you were there or not, will be able to see what an historic event it was." Brian Wilson

"The 50th Anniversary Tour was a historic, special event. This DVD captures the tour brilliantly and marks an important, iconic moment in time in our band's history. It's a moment I am deeply proud of." Mike Love

This " concert" DVD song list is an incredible disappointment. Sadly, it is painfully clear just who decided it. . --And, for as long as he's been at that keyboard --I've never been able to tell just what it is --I've always wondered just how much of it Bruce actually plays. ---I did not attend the concerts here in LA last year. ----Since Carl's passing, I just cannot bring myself to go to any concerts. I saw BW in '99 here in LA, his 1st Tour, & was captivated by Taylor Mills ! Wolfsky9 67 y/o

Brian, you got the biggest applause of any of them! What a packed house!!! I pray you will all be playing together again as it is just not the same without Brian, Al, etc. My favorites songs...Sloop John B...Wouldn't it Be Nice...and your wonderful, That's Why God Made the Radio! Thanks, Brian, for sharing and keep giving God the glory and He will bless you, as you have blessed your many, many fans around the world! Beautiful, pure and fun harmonies and music!

I'm not too thrilled about the song selection either but I still plan on buying this because all of this footage is from the show in Phoenix Arizona, the one I went to!!!

You start getting over 21 songs and I believe the economics of the song royalties outweighs the target price of the product at retail. Now saying that, if they could put 50 tracks on the 50 Big Ones for $22 they should have been able to cut a deal for this DVD set as well. As it looks now, look for "Part 2" - with the rest of the good one - sometime next year. Even then they will leave off someone's favorite song. It's greed and a cash grab.

That song is great live. When I saw them in Irvine they brought up Dean from Jan & Dean to sing the song with them, which makes it even more disappointing that it's not included on the DVD

Thought I found the perfect Christmas gift for my mom, but they edited out to many songs from the concert including my moms all time favourite 'Be True To Your School '

They also forgot Forever, and Barbara Ann

I will probably still end up getting this since I'm a die hard Beach Boys fan. But they're leaving out at least half of the set list they were doing for their Reunion tour. The cynical side of me is thinking a second DVD will be included with the live album that will have the songs that weren't used for this DVD. At least the price for this DVD will be fairly low.

i agree with drummerboy this dvd doesnt do any justice at all to the concerts they performed in..21 songs what a farce .someone obviously wants to make a quick buck.no thoughts gone into this what so ever 60 plus songs is what they sang on the tour and all we get is a compilation of a few classics tacky cheap rip off ..bastards .

Not full perfomances though. I can't believe they would count those and Surfin USA being part of the Doin It Again DVD/Blue Ray as a reason not to include them on this! It just makes no sense!

Still wondering why they left out Surfer Girl, Surfin Safari and Surfin USA I mean a Beach Boy DVD/Blu Ray without almost all the surf songs seriously? And they left out the Carl and Dennis tributes too! The fans deserve better. I hope at least the surf songs make it on the live labum in 2013! What were they thinking cutting out some of the best songs?
