I love the lyrics in the second half of the second verse "it's weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she's picking up from me. I hope it's!.."they paired that with the traditional A section of the verse in love and mercy, and god only knows I love it9 years ago

Compared to final take - this is very experimental, almost primitive. The final song is just a work of genius, nothing less. I'm surprised how different the lyrics are. Bass and percussion are very heavy here, can't hear theramin enough, but they fixed all that!10 years ago

@predlycon- It's Brian on vocals, probably doing all the backups as well. He's just being sloppy about it. I'm guessing he never intended this for final release in this condition.
