This is probably the most passionate version of Forever I have ever heard, despite the not so good audio quality. Dennis does a wonderful job. It's even better than the Central Park version, in my opinion. I hope the video of this performance will pop up one day. Enjoy!

Thanks for this! I recorded this and the other songs they did on this show with a cassette recorder, the cheap little mic propped up to the black and white TV's tiny speaker. It's always been my favorite version, I've searched for this before and never found it. Found it while I was searching for the Bee Gees set on David Frost around the same time. Another gem.

I didn't know that, thanks for this information! A shame indeed, but who knows. I believe they also played Lady and Vegetables at the David Frost Show. As you said, a lot of new things have been discovered the last few years. I really hope they will release a box set one day covering the 1970-1974 period. My favourite Beach Boys years and their live shows were great, too.

Great version, indeed! Sadly, The David Frost Show tapes were wiped many years ago, as Alan Boyd discovered when working on the Endless Harmony documentary. Luckily a friend of his taped their other Frost appearance, hence the existence of the Cool, Cool Water snippet. Recently however, much BB material has been unearthed (the Do It Again multitrack, for example) so there's always a chance, I guess.
