I believe this is Ron wilson of The Surfaris singing lead and this is a demo BW created for him. Not sure, but i seem to remember reading that/

Obviously the famous but ill-fated effort of Brian Wilson and Bruce Springsteen to join forces as a Trans-Coastal band in the early 60's. Their forte was gonna be cars, girls, and social issues. Bruce didn't work out, and didn't dig the commute, so Brian asked his cousin, Mike, to try the lead on a song inspired by Brian's brother, Dennis. Something about surfin' if I recall correctly. Bruce was so broken up over it that he wrote "Racin' in the Streets" and Brian wrote "409" and a couple more.

@smiley66goodvibes67 Rick - can you share anything more about this recording. Sounds like it's related to a Phil Spector sound... a bit of Be My Baby..........

It´s The Beach Boys! Found it on their unsurpassed masters compilation. Lead voice? Maybe Gary Usher. No information about it. I´ll post two other unreleased tracks from 1961/62 !!
