Brian Wilson both influenced the creation of and (ironically) was eventually dejected by the sheer greatness of, "Sgt. Pepper's." "Wild Honey" did for simplicity what "Sgt." did for complexity, real talk. It's the Yin to "Sgt.'s" Yang, dig it? XD

It's a good record, but it's release time was bad. Fans were totally confused by "Smiley Smile" and this record only two months later didn't help matters, even though it was a good record....good, not great.

One of the best songs on "Wild Honey." If The Beach Boys had released "SMiLE" in early '67, then this album would have been a fine follow up that December. But instead this record had to follow "Smiley Smile" and alienate fans even more. Bad timing, just really bad timing.
