People talking about the Bar-Kays sampling Midnight Star. Chew on this. The Bar-Kays and their brand of funk have been around since the late 1960's, and they had hits throughout the 70's and 80's. So, those accusing the Bar-Kays of sampling Midnight Star, how do you know Midnight Star didn't borrow from the Bar-Kays, bit off their whole funk sound, and the irony is that when the Bar-Kays came through using their own sound that Midnight Star bit, some people, who were nowhere around when the Bar-Kays began doing their thing, are accusing the Bar-Kays of borrowing from Midnight Star. Ain't that a blip?

Everybody, Quit it with the talk about ripping off and sampling.. There was and is no sampling.. The bar kays wrote their own music. Just because they might sound similar means nothing... For one, they are at different speeds, different producers, If midnight star had thought there was any copying of their song, they would have took action but didnt.. So dont try to be the judge...The bar kays are originators....
