Re: the reserved Brits. They were all like that in Europe, back in those days. Don't know why, but I was there. In Brussels, we went to see Steve Winwood, and as usual, the only ones who ever danced were the Americans and Canadians. So, you always knew who we were, and we could find each other in giant crowds. And we were just as stoned as the rest, we were smoking the same s**t, we were more uh.....relaxed? no, we were rowdier. We were from the Wildlands. We were the Orcs.

This was a show that featured the reunion tour of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It was held at Wembly stadium and included Jesse Coling Young opening, followed by The Band, then Joni Mitchell with CSNY headlining. September 14, 1974.

This version gives me chills. There are 3 amazing voices, but the main one,the unique one, who is that? This is one of my most favorite songs from the 60s.

Hmm.. wonder why they always start the verses a little later on the live versions than on the studio version.. and cut out the organ riff during the verse too. Still fucking awesome, just curious..

How is the audience not getting down so much harder? I'd cut off my awkie to see this performance. Lazy Brits...

Its about time someone cleaned up all the clips from this show, which as memory serves was a knockout, and put them out on blu-ray. If I remember correctly the Band ended their set early, due to negative reaction towards them from the crowd?

Rick Danko's voice is a bit fucked isn't it?

I have seen the Band countless times including Watkins Glen and shows with the Dead, I have to say this is one of the greatest versions I have heard. Excellent 3 way vocals and pretty good quality sound considering the year and venue, nice!

levon helm didnt like him very much, because he alledgedly tried to break up the band. so he never let him sing
