Perhaps someone thought the song "spolied" the PLOT of the movie by giving away the entire story? There's a whole sub-genre of songs "inspired by" movies where the songs are not in the movies. This includes "The Trouble With Harry" by Alfi & Harry (alias David Seville alias Ross Bagdasarian), or "Make My Day" by T.G. Sheppard & Clint Eastwood.

Much like Gene Pitney's MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE this song was not used in the movie! Still a great tune nonetheless. ☺

Just watched a BBC video about them. I remember this song from my radio days. I played this song 100's of times on the radio long time ago.

I need and love this song any time money things get me depressed or stressed like this high dental bill with a worthless United Concordia dental insurance I got today. What's the point in wasting money on insurance you get broke if you pay anyway? Something in me says I envy Bonnie and Clyde. They'd just say screw it and go wild. Get the song on and I can say screw it I go broke. Get over it like people did in the Depression.
