AS I SAID,phoenix, san francisco, the major disco's did NOT PLAY THE MODERN,NO BLONDIE,NO BOWIE,NO B52'S,EVEN MORRISEY BACK IN THE '"SMITHS" DAYS HAD A SONG,""HANG THE DJ",the snotty gay club dj's wanted that old tired disco beat, they hated the new, modern, your VERY LUCKY TO HAVE GONE TO CLUBS WHERE ""MODERN",NOT DISCO WAS PLAYED,THAT WAS MY STATEMENT,IF I HAD A DOLLAR EVERY TIME I HEARD GODDAM ""DON'T LEAVE ME THIS WAY",I'D HAVE THOUSANDS!!,NEVER A B52,OR BLONDIE SONG EVER!

Just because you didn't like the singers you posted doesn't mean everyone shares your opinion. I grew up during that time and it was the music to listen to..I also own every album..(Yes Vinyl Album) and cd that the B-52's put out. Your dj's may not have played them but i know in the late 70's and all thru 80's the clubs we went to played them.

I've just posted this to a New Wave blog on Facebook, hoping the views increase. I've always had a hard time finding this song. I love their stand for protecting the environment.
