Face it, after 2000 there are few tunes people will wish to hear in 2020, but they will want to hear the song of the 60's, 70's 80's and 90'd Bushfire is just one

Today I'm pulling out old albums that I don't usually listen to, at least the whole album. These are albums that are uneven (at best) but which have a couple of good songs. A good example of this is the B52's Cosmic Thing". It contains two of their most successful songs, "Love Shack" and "Roam". While these are good songs, and good examples of 80's/MTV type music, the real gem on the album is "Bushfire". Really infectious. Even if you're an old rocker like me, you may enjoy this one.

Not many can appreciate the obscure science of The B52's. But we here can.

I wouldn't compare Bouncing off the Satellites with Cosmic Thing. CT is deep and delicious (except Love Shack, retttttcccchhhh!). BOTS has great music (my favorite Ain't It a Shame) but it makes me want to blow my brains out.

Bouncing Off The Satellites offers some great songs! She Brakes For Rainbows, Summer Of Love, Detour Thru Your Mind, Theme For A Nude Beach, Juicy Jungle, Housework, Communicate, are all really good songs! Give them a listen, you will thank me! and, of course, the B-52's!!

I can't ever hear this song enough. Easily one of the most under rated groups in my opinion. Speakin of Ricky Wilson, I saw the B52's open for the WHO in the Tangerine Bowl in the early 80's...unfortunately many of the hard rockers couldn't handle the 'new wave' group sounds these musicians were offering, and they were forced off stage by a rain of bottles and shoes. I was about 20 ' from the stage, and saw Ricky literally deflect bottles with his guitar and still play amazingly. Blown away!!

I'm with ya Mark. Such a great album. Ricky Wilson was the perfect guitarist for this band, rest in peace Ricky and the Harmonies are just fantastic. Topaz in another favorite of mine on this album.

I saw the 52s in 1989, at the World Music Theater in Chicago. All the years I've been around, few concerts stick in your brain. But this is one of them. They played their guts out for 2 hours and had the place going nuts.
