The miners had suffered a near death experience from a cave in, knocking them unconscious. Their hearts had stopped beating by the time they were found. While in their comatose state, they had a vivid hallucination. I assume the fat miner wanted to become a dancer. The judges are the guardians of the pearly gates, and they were determining whether it was their time to pass or not. The judges decided it was time for the older miner to pass, and the angels helped him peacefully transition into the afterlife.10 years ago
