Not bad, but completely out of character as a follow-up to "Cherish."

On this day in 1966 {December 18th} "Pandora's Golden Heebie Jeebies" by the Association peaked at #35 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; it had entered the chart on November 20th and spent 7 weeks on the Top 100...Between 1966 and 1981 the sextet had thirteen Top 100 records; with four Top 10 hits, and two #1s {"Cherish" for 3 weeks in 1966 and "Windy" for 4 weeks in 1967}...

gary jules alexander left the group for a short time to practice meditation?he stayed with the group until the now late bass player brian cole[he died in 1972 from a overdose] could recuperate from a hand injury around the time hawaii native larry ramos would end up playing guitar in gary's place.by the time he came back, the group was still playing together but, most of the hits were past them?as of 2013,alexander & ramos with jim yester, del ramos, russ giguire, bruce pictor, and jordan cole tour.

1966 - ahead of its time. I haven't heard this since it was played on the pirate stations at the time of its release

This was one group that you never knew what you were going to get musically.

gary jules alexander may have not been on the cover of what we see to go with the song being he left the group for a year to meditate?he did stick around until the late bass player/singer brian cole was able to play since he had a firework accident at the time and guitarist/singer larry ramos could learn the songs what the group did?nowadays. jules,larry,guitarist/singer jim yester, son of brian cole jordan who plays guitar, keyboards, and back.vocals, singer russ gigure, del ramos& bruce pictor tour

I wonder why he's not in this picture since it is an anthology?

Thank you SO much for posting this! I couldn't find the album this song was on (I have every other Association LP) and was afraid I'd never hear this odd choice for a followup single to "Cherish" again.
