Ska-punk bands, maybe, but it's been a long time since I've seen any good *ska* bands - be it trad or 2-Toney - come out of the States.

It seems to be going through a revival here in England, but I mean that I have seen quite a few good bands come out of the U.S in recent years. Which is nice.

Last ska fest I went to in Canada there were a bunch of new and young bands. I can't speak for other countries, but in terms of ska-oriented festivals, record labels and the general number and scope of bands, most scenes seem far more vibrant than the US, just from what shows/fests I've seen in Canada, England and Australia.
