Rare video for 'Underground' by The Angels, from their 1984 album 'Two Minute Warning'.
(internationally, the band were known as 'Angel City')
The album charted at #2 in Australia, but this single received little radio attention. The video clip is heavily inspired by the 'Mad Max' genre, which probably made it a little unappealing for mainstream video shows at the time.
Brothers Rick and John Brewster, along with Doc Neeson on vocals, originally teamed up in Adelaide in 1970. They officially became 'The Angels' in 1974, and released their first single. They quickly became one of the greatest Australian pub rock bands of the 70s and 80s. I've been lucky enough to see these guys live a few times, and they have never disappointed in concert.
The colours in this video (VHSrip) are a little harsh - particularly oversaturated with red in parts. I tried to reduce it as much as possible, without washing out the rest of the clip, but it's still not great. I also replaced the audio.
