@nate1959ful ~ You've GOT to see the movie. Gene Kelly's vocal and the instrumental that runs through the soundtrack are superior to the Ames recording, which is too bubble-gumish for such a beautiful melody.

I've seen this movie 25 times , I love Natalie Wood , but the love story has stayed with me all these years , if you haven't seen it buy it on ebay and you will not be disappointed , also West Side Story !
