'synthesiz3r', the first track to be taken from 'OCTOPUS4', the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2012's critically acclaimed 'Polymorphic Code', brought to you french electro-prog mashup king The Algorithm, out June 2nd 2014 on BASICK.

"The Algorithm could easily have ended up as a little bleepy curiosity on the periphery of the tech-metal scene. Octopus4 shows there is more -- much more -- to The Algorithm than a synthesizer having a djent-inspired mental breakdown. If Polymorphic Code put Remi on the map, Octopus4 has consolidated his position" 90% - The Monolith

"The Algorithm's holistic and all-inclusive approach to music and songwriting is something to be treasured in a world where arbitrary lines are drawn in the sand, dictating where one can and cannot go in the course of a song...Instead of painting himself into a corner, OCTOPUS4 broadens the horizons, and where Gallego goes from here is unknown. The possibilities however, are endless." 4/5 - Heavy Blog Is Heavy

And I'm not interested in Levi jeans thankyou, waste of money and they come apart at the seams. Tesco jeans are better quality, amazingly enough.

I really love Remi's new compositional direction. Still laden with polyrhythms and atmosphere, but while the old albums were directed toward the momentary experience, these seem to be more focused on the journey. His usage of retro sounds likens back to the days of NES, beauty in simplicity. CAn't wait to see what his brilliantly unique brain comes up with next.

Call this whatever genre you want. If you like it, okay, if you don't, okay. There's no use in arguing about what genre this is. Either listen and enjoy, or don't.

This is sick. He's expanding out from just metal chugfests and incorporating all the other retro electronic stuff he listens to. I dig it hard

people are going to hate what i'm gonna say but i have to put it out there. The Algorithm has some fundamental problems. the "electronic" aspect of this music is sub-par. the live drums often don't don't offer much to the music and personally seem basic and monotonous. the actual "electronic" sounds used are just not good sounds... they're dated and... i don't know how else to put it... cheesy. once again, i hate to be the negative critic. it seems to me that there needs to be more familiarity with accomplished "electronic"/dance music. i've tried and tried to enjoy The Algotithm and some of it i really do but i just can't get past the above things. it's a neat idea and there might be something to it but it has some glaring flaws.

Very tight, I can see the development from the last album. Some of the old chaos is missing though, still, crackin' music as always.

Once the new Amplitude game is kickstarted, this would be so awesome to play on that game.

Disgusting. You've put 2 thing together that should never meet, metal and dubstep. It sounds like shit, honestly. It's so fucking bad.
