2:10 - Sounds of a party in the background - you gotta love Alan Parsons' technical wizardry!

Sad that Chris Rainbow (who sang lead vocals on this song) died just over a week ago.

i just read about it earlier. i was just hoping that when he said "helps me ease the pain." he wasn't talking about the wine, he was talking about his fame and his discovery.

The whole album deals with fame and how people react to it. This being the case, the song addresses how famous people indulge in intoxication, such as Beaujolais wine, as a means to deal with the pressure of fame, i.e. "helps to ease the pain."

Aww! I do that too. Most of the Alan Parsons Project songs seem to fit in perfectly with Autum and Fall.

Stereotomy was the first APP album I ever listened too. I never knew that Beaujolais was a wine and I never read much into the song. I just liked that it was rather easy to sing-a-long to on a ride over to the library. It's dark, frantic, mysterious and damned easy to sing to. :3

An almost unknown song from the most rock album of The Alan Parsons Project. I really like it, especially when I am in a good mood. It must be played loud!!
