you´re mentioning a higher concept, something lying out of time, found in the myths. and every religion/myth/occultism/etc/etc is part of that concept, the only question is what kind of part. so if you´re not seeking for that concept i´m interested in what you´re heading for.

it`s a word that comes from Hinduism: it basically means Spirit. To nowadays science it`s nothing rational, thus non-sense. The Agonist, though, are using this word in an artistic context, so there could be various interpretations about what they wanted to say. This is my short suggestion: people is not aware of their spirit, and ancient religions were meant to help reaching it, but along the way many difficulties occurred; one of these could be the appearing of inner hallucinations.

you`re a deconstructionist, so be it. But i find these lyrics very amazing too, i put them on my fb page! these are some serious lyrics, it`s about time for Darwin`s lies to forever die. They`re anachronistic. But the Agonist is mentioning a higher concept here, "Atmas". This isn`t something going way back, as one could assume, but something lying OUT of time, something connected to the myth. I firmly believe that if there`s a truth, this truth can`t be found in history, but in the myth!
