I've Blake in other movies and didn't care for the the character she's played before...... in th Film she owned it ..... by far one of the best roles she's make come to life the demeanor. . The simple, but difficult to capture way of life of a time gone by.....her character made my heart break and my eye shed tears...it reminded me of my late girlfriend Mary ......she would of loved this film....

How come Rob Simonsen did not had the idea of using Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo score for inspiration and influence? It would be a master's choice:1st The film is set in San Francisco2nd the story is about an immutable woman3rd that same woman who lives through decades and has a 2nd chance with loveThe representation of Adaline's character musically could be a theme or a chord that would never change key, just the mode, but in the end would change as she comes back to "normal" growing old. While the rest of the scenario, muscially speaking, would be changeable in terms of key, representing the passing of time.Note that Vertigo and Bernard Herrmann got inspiration from Wagner's Tristan and Isolde, which is represented by an ever changing key tonality in order to represent the same scenarios over different periods of time. So there you have it, a perfect situation from where you could draw inspiration. Not that I didn´t like the score, and it's a classical one - Good! - but it could be so much much better.
