The spinning you feel is not of the earth, it's all in your head.

The blue in the sky and green in the grass, unwillfully imagined.

Everything you know sparked by unbelievable coincidence.

Sub consciousness.

Never any consequence.

The twinkle of the stars you see is your mind wishing to believe the magic of nonsense.

We are dealt a hand and we act like there's a dealer.

You can't define life without speaking to the reaper.

Your belief that death is an option hinges on the fact that life is a reality.

We started the fight for survival and now we want to quit because we are losing.

And we cannot define life without always uttering death.

I wear a watch even though I don't believe in time.

The idea is false, just like the rest of the ones in your mind.

I don't fear death because I refuse to believe in life.

Genius of design.

Fooled by your own mind.

Size is infinite.

Reality is never explicit.

Simplicity so impossibly complicated.

Infinity too dauntingly sophisticated.

I am not real.

dl and vincent and had been in the band since the begging. I know a little piece of vincent hurts because of how good they sounded together and dl left. its what made the band.

I always see people complain about the meshuggah influence on this album like it's a bad thing lol. Personally I think this is one of the best metal songs of the "-core" generation. Love that dissonant jazz break and those super awesome Contradictions Collapse-esque harmonized lead lines in it. Plus the odd syncopation is a really nice change from TAS's usual chunnn chunnn chunnn rhythm. Drums are also on fuckin point on this song, wayyy underrated drummer imo

It's too bad that so many people just argue about opinion and don't even talk about how awesome this song is. Everyone's opinion is valid, everyone can say what they want. I think Death Is the Only Mortal is my favorite album from them atm. It's definitely influenced by Meshuggah, but that's an awesome thing. Stop arguing and enjoy the music!

for anyone that cares...the comparison between EMMURE and TAS, is mostly due to the fight that Vincent and Frankie got into..so now the fans of each band have to have beef.. which is fuckin stupid. its about the feeling the music gives us.. not about the status, or how big a following...or playing Follow the Leader

"I don't fear death because I refuse to believe in life." Some powerful shit, right there.

Well that's the beauty of the internet, you get to go ahead and say whatever you desire. Doesn't make it true. This logic is silly, if we follow it, everyone ripped off sabbath.

There is a very big difference in being influenced by a band and ripping them off. I like TAS but I'm gonna have to go ahead and say they ripped off Meshuggah a few times on this album.
