They finally came back to Hattiesburg, MS. Just a pass through show, probably headed to or from New Orleans. Good dudes, he broke a light bulb for ol times sake and I talked to the bass player for a long time about something..... Love those crazy Nashville fuckers.

The microphone is a "green bullet", also known as a green egg. I have one, which I hook up to a bass amp. Initially a PA mic (used on public address systems) it was pretty quickly adopted by blues artists because it was cheap, omnipresent, and sounded awesome. Now they're a collectible item and fairly pricey.

Better to listen to them rather than see some bean pole sissy playing with himself on stage.

J.D. Wilkes is among the greatest harmonica players alive today. You are one of my heroes, dude, and I just turned 57. You are crazy. Also a great artist, creative genius. Don't get a swell head, keep up the insanity, the world needs your energy!!
