great version of this classic, the whole album is great, one of the top 2 or 3 western albums ever recorded.

Do you have Cinder in My Eye by Tex Ritter? I have it on an old 33 1/3 RPM record. LOL But no record player. If I could find one I'd buy it, but not sure if I could find needles for it. But if you have that song and can upload it, I'd be much obliged. Thanks.

My father sang this song and many others from Blood on the Saddle. He's now in his 70's, with his health failing. Lots of memories coming back. Thanks for posting.

I remember this album being in my local record shop in the early 60's. I never did buy the record, but did buy Marty Robbins iconic album 'Gunfighter Ballads And Trail Songs' as well as Tennessee Ernie Ford's '16 Tons' LP. The shop was 'Teacher's' in Kingsland Road, Dalston, London. I did buy an extended play of Tex singing 'Deck Of Cards' however. I know, I was that soldier!

At 53, you are an old man.

You are clearly just a kid, but if you make it, you will one day be an old man.
