I picked another fairly obscure song for this cover, but I think this song has a really cool drum part - relatively straight forward, but with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. Plus, I think it is a perfect example of highly tasteful use of double bass. The song is from the 2010 release "Blood of the Nations", which was the first album after German metal act Accept reformed with new lead singer Mark Tornillo. I know very little about drummer Stefan Schwarzmann, but I like what I've heard. Overall I think this came out pretty good, sans the stick click during one of the fast fills. Oh well. By the way, in case you don't know, Teutonic mythology is composed of a body of myths based on the religion of the ancient Teutons, a group comprised of Germans, Anglo-Saxons, Scandinavians, Goths and other Northern European peoples. For centuries, Judeo-Christian scholars have categorized the Teutonic myths as "Pagan." So this is a battle song centered on Pagan myths - "We will ... give 'em the Axe!!".
