I don't know how often tessract tours but they should lower the pitch for Dan for this song. Assuming this song is always in their playlist. He may hurt his voice in long term . Besides that, he don't have to prove himself anyway. We know, he can sing this song as good as ashe. (and he is arguably better).

IMHO, Dan use falsetto in some parts of the Song in order to has a less tired mixed voice for the ending. A good singer knows how to use his energies, and Dan ladies and gentlemen is a very professional singer.
