I"m afraid you will have to forgive my ignorance. But, when did Terry die, and hopefully it was natural causes? He couldn't have been that old!

great song first recorded by Terry but I got to say I like George's version better on the other hand I like Terrry's version better than the original by Elvis of "Suspicion" although both are great RIP Elivs & Terry Vaya con Dios

I was a deejay when this came out and I played the hell out of it. When Straight came out with it I told anyone who would listen that it was a cover.

1 Hell of of a song, I've travelled from Los Angeles to and Past Amarillo some 28 times in my life and will always remember hearing it on August 2 when it was released back in the 70's back then I wanted to get it on 8trk cartridge but the label after issuing it dropped their country roster finally got on cd a number of years ago and enjoy it a whole lot ... Thanks Terry Stafford God Bless Your Soul and Rest in Peace..... Ps. Sure Wish Someone would release his other material that he recorded about a year later it should see the light of day..... Thanks, Tony

Came by the song through Mr. Strait. But Terry's version is awesome, just as as pure, honest and haunting.
