The late 60's and early '70's were a time of tremendous upheaval in American culture as the hippie generation abandoned the values of their parents, turned to drugs and away from materialism, and went on a search for love and peace.
It was out of this tumultuous era that young, musical voices began to surface. These newly converted musicians began singing about the new hope they had found through Jesus Christ.

I met Terry Clark when we lived in Oceanside, California and we had a Christian Bookstore there. What a fantastic man of God. He totally impact my family's lives when in concert and his ability to take you right into the Throne Room of God in the heavens. Terry Clark used to lead worship now and then at Calvary Chapel Placerville back in the early 90's, but I'd never head his testimony. Powerful !! Thanks so much for posting this. I love his song, "Thank You, Jesus." Hearing about his experience with Christ makes the song even more meaningful.14 years ago
