It's a funny thing about Wildcard... I heard O Divina on YouTube a few years back and bought the album as a result, but some of the early tracks ('Designated Fool', 'SRR-636-' 'Suga Free' and to a lesser extent 'The Inner Scream', 'Driving Me Crazy') really turned me off and stopped me listening to the rest of this wonderful work. 'O, Divina', 'Testify', 'Sweetness', 'and They Will Never Know' and particularly 'Sayin About You' are now some of my favourite songs ever written. Funny old album...

You know, this could've made for a nice single off his 'Wildcard' album (which I think is now his most definitive work to date) at the time of release. It would've gotten him right back on the scene if that's what he desired. Then again, he never really did strike me as an artist who craved the spotlight all that much unless it was mainly to further his own music. If so, right on!!! ;-)
