He really needs to do 2 or 3 or 40 Leonard Cohen songs, right? That voice lends itself to the simple and simply perfect musical aspects of Cohen's songs without detracting from the hard-won poetical perfection of the lyrics*. I think he would do a fair enough version of "A Thousand Kisses Deep" or "Suzanne" or "If It Be Your Will" or...well, like I say, 2 or 3 or 40...

This takes the lyrics way too seriously and misses Cohen's bitter humor. But points for beginning the recording with Cohen's laugh from a bootleg version of "Thousand Kisses Deep."

I agree it's better than anything I've had to listen to . I have only heard this song three or four times and that was in 07! Today's country is non existent just clone's can't tell them apart .it's horrible . This guy should be better known but he has too much individuality for today's comatose audience
