This man died a pauper singing from his soul, yet U2 and Madonna have millions....there is no justice...

Had to come back for another listen and to post>> this>> "The life story rights of the late singer/songwriter Ted Hawkins have been optioned for a motion picture release. Jeff Cooney Films in association with First Look Pictures has licensed the exclusive film rights from Hawkins' Widow Elizabeth Hawkins. A screenplay is currently in development, depicting this unique performer's rise from a simple street singer on Venice Beach to a talent recognized around the world." That was 2004, wonderssss

(4) I'm a happy guy now. ( Just like Joe, and I didn;t even have to hock my guitar imaginary or otherwise!)

(3)And I could not believe that supposed blues fans could walk away from such a sound, a sound that transcended everything that I understood to be Blues. All to soon it was over and the faces around me said it all.We had all shared something very very special. I became friends with a truck load of people that night who assembled in the nearby "Foggy Dew" bar.Next day I trawled the record shops of Dublin looking for something to bring this feeling back. I found it in Claddagh Records, Temple Bar &

( 2 ) Then he opened his mouth and began to sing, and..I almost fell over. For the 1st time in my life, I understood the phrase "Voice of an Angel" For the next hour or so, I could not take my eyes off him.My bladder was screaming at me, but I had to ignore it as he went through a catalogue of songs the likes of which I'd never heard B4. I'd had a big "to do" with my lady friend earlier in the day and each song was a hot knife jabbed into my very being.Quite a few folk walked out before the end.

( 1 ) I started playing guitar in 1979, and got bitten by the blues bug roundabout '85. Consequently, I ate up everything I could get my hands n ears on. I saw him advertised to play Dublins Olympia Theatre as a "New Blues Phenomenom" So.. I went along. When I saw him put on his glove and dip it in the huge bowl of french chalk on his lil side table( beside his Standard Lamp, lol) I almost walked out. He started playing, and...I almost walked out.
