try it out and compare the sound of 480p to the sound of 240p. If there is no difference your speakers are the worst I know.

Yes, but if the creator of the video has used a pre-made template for 480p the audio quality will most likely suffer aswell because they want to keep the file as small as possible.

Audio matters too, look up Winstan - Save Change and Exit- open the second vid( one with record) and compare the quality at 240p and 480p, HUGE difference. I don't know why it affects sound, but on youtube it does.

Thats incorrect mate: Original 192 kbps AAC 1080p 192 kbps AAC 720p 192 kbps AAC 480p 128 kbps AAC 360p 128 kbps AAC 240p 60 kbps MP3 All this is assuming the audio source is of a high enough quality to begin with ofcourse ;)

YouTube uses different audio bitrates for different video resolutions: 240p = 60 kbps MP3 360p = 128 kbps AAC 480p = 128 kbps AAC 720p+ = 192 kbps AAC So if he would upload his video with only 240p there would only be 60 kbps MP3 which sounds shitty. Greets

Change the quality to the minimum it makes a noticeable audio difference because video compression on youtube includes the audio
